cheesecakes and a long walk

Author: JT   |  Apr 26th, 2008

thomas called me around 9.45pm and wanted to meet up to collect the psp charger from me but didn’t want to come jurong.

i wasn’t really in a mood to go out since i was busy looking at cars and quite broke but he insisted and offered to pay for my cab, and so i took a cab down to holland village to meet him.

waited for 1/2 hour for him to reach but holland village was full of eye candy so i didn’t mind waiting.

couldn’t decide on what to eat so we i suggested going to the coffee shop near bona vista mrt since i know the food there was quite okay and i had budget constrains.

had a couple of chicken wings each but it tasted really bad so thomas suggest we head back to holland village for cheesecake at nydc.

walked all the way back and each ordered a slice of cheesecake and talked there for almost 2 hours.

decided to leave the place at 12.30am since it was getting late and started walking down towards city,

we talked as we walked and before we knew it, we were already pass queenstown mrt heading towards telok blangah where thomas stays.

a whole lot of talk was about life and it was quite a meaningful conversation, i always love chatting and walking.

walked to a point where my whole shirt was wet and my old injury started aching again so decided to share a cab from there.

came back around 4am, poorer in cash but richer in thoughts.

saturday @ macs

Author: JT   |  Apr 26th, 2008

went over to jurong east mac in the afternoon to meet up with colin and andee, it has been sometime since the 3 of us met up.

spent a bit of time discussing and drawing the network diagram for trond’s dad’s company if they really wanna revamp the whole network in office.

thomas also came over to borrow my psp since he had a viewing around the area.

chatted with colin and andee on cars and other stuffs till around 6pm before going separate ways.

took a bus back and started researching on cars since i will probably get 1 of my own by the end of the year.

yiteng was a die hard fan of the honda civic but i find it too common already, i would prefer something unique but yet petrol saving and easy to park.

i think i probably spent 4 hours on my computer surfing sgcarmart and nothing else.

i personally still prefer the toyota mark x but it was way over my budget and it only comes in a 2.5 liter engine which means petrol will be a killer.

was considering putting in the compressed natural gas (cng) as well but the thought of pasting the fugly green sticker on the bumpers just puts me off.

i found another car that i like, the toyota blade, but this small car runs on the camry 2.4 liter engine.

andee suggested the toyota allion, a version slightly bigger and more expensive than axio but had a much nicer interior.

first glance on the pictures i found were quite impressive but later found out that the car only comes in a 1.5 liter engine, i would prefer something from a 1.6 to 2 liter car.

oh well, the hunt is still on…
