it could be due to the fact that i ate too much during supper but i just can’t get to sleep.

went to bed around 2am and kept tossing and turning till 4am.

gave up trying to sleep and started surfing on my laptop in bed, was trying to decide if i should get the macbook or macbook pro.

asked adree got some advice since he’s a convert and he’s very happy with it.

the difference between macbook and macbook pro (from what i read) is just that macbook pro has a slightly faster processor, a dedicated graphics card, more usb/firewire slots, a slightly bigger screen and built using better materials.

the price difference for the macbook i originally wanted (the black one) and the higher range model (15″) of macbook pro is around $1388.

is there a need for me to pay so much more for the macbook pro?

i do play games but that’s very seldom ever since i got my wii and i really don’t foresee myself playing much games anyway on a os x platform.

however, from the reviews i read so far, everyone is recommending the macbook pro instead of the macbook and i’m really having second thoughts of the black macbook.

the only thing i really like about the macbook is that it comes in black while the pro version comes in only silver.

and reviews after speaking to 3 os x converts (adree & james are using macbook pro while felicia is using macbook) tell me that they won’t be going back to windows anytime soon unless really needed.

windows can also be installed on both macbooks as well if required.

so a macbook or a macbook pro?

that’ll depend on my commission if i manage to get the deal this coming weekend,

if i don’t, all these will be wishful planning anyway.

anyway, back to the sleepless night…

there was a sudden storm around 5.30am with plenty of lightning and thunder and thanks to that, my whole house’ circuit board tripped 2 times meaning i have to get out of bed and walk downstairs with a lighter to turn on the switch manually.

this of course adds to my sleeplessness and i think i only manage to get some sleep around 6.30am,

and i have to get up at 8.30am.

i didn’t really get a good sleep, kept waking up half consciously and i actually heard my alarm ring meaning i was awake even before my alarm went off.

went back to bed again and only woke up after receiving trond’s sms saying he’ll be here in  25 minutes, quickly got out of bed and got ready and as usual, he wasn’t here in 25 minutes.

now in office helping him do firefighting, think i can start a new career in being a firefighter.

went for a driving practical lesson today and woke up late as usual,

managed to get my mom to send me there so saved on the cab fare.

lesson was normal, just a run through of everything i’ve “learnt” so far, boring in fact.

then right after the lesson, i went for the compulsory driving simulator lesson.

the lesson lasted only 50 minutes and there were only 3 persons at any one time,

luckily for me, i had 2 girls in my group and they were real lookers…

1 was the girl next door kind with braces and a cute pair of glasses, has long silky hair, wears t-shirt and jeans and carries a normal looking school bag.

the other was the typical ang mo lian type, she somehow reminds me a lot of felicia aka fey lui, branded handbag, skimpy clothes that are ready for clubbing anytime, behaves like the family’s loaded, dyed hair curled up in a bun, sits with a lian-ish posture, wear shiny sandals and talks with a slang.

and between the 3 of us, i was the only one taking auto…damn pai seh.

the lesson was on road safety and we were taught on emergency braking distances and road hazards,

i got the best marks of course, got a reaction time of 0.29s for emergency braking and no accidents for the road hazards trail.

the girl-next-door got around 0.5s for emergency braking (after 2 crashes) and 2 accidents for the road hazards trail while the ang mo lian got 0.8s for emergency braking (i lost count on the number of crashes) and something like 8-10 accidents for the road hazards trail.

something learnt here, lians do not make good drivers.

but they were both really good looking…too bad i didn’t get closer to them.

took a cab back since it was really hot and i was plain lazy so decided to waste the $6 and get myself home quick.

took a nap when i got home and went out to meet aaron for dinner/supper at around 10.30pm, i wanted nasi lemak but he was against the idea of walking so far so ended up having a plate of hor fun at the nearby coffee shop.

went to 7-11 after dinner to grab some drinks and snacks for tomorrow, i’ll be working for trond and i’ll need plenty of sweets to keep me accompany and awake.

also bought the mash potato, something that i really like but very unhealthy and 4 packets of beef jerky.

went to the park for a chat where we finished our drinks and all 4 packets of beef jerky…

beef jerkies are great but they are damn expensive, why can’t they produce cheaper beef jerkys then i’ll buy more.
