woke up at around 3pm and wanted to spend the day with my wii but colin called and asked if i wanna meet up with him and vincent (goh).
it has been a couple of months ago that i last saw vincent so i didn’t mind and went down to tiong bharu plaza to meet the 2 of them.
vincent wanted to buy some hair cream or something and a new pair of swimming trunks but he couldn’t find them so decided to make a trip down to great world city.
took a bus from tiong bharu plaza but realised that the bus doesn’t go to great world so instead of changing bus, we decided to settle for china town.
vincent brought us to some ulu building in china town and even had to walk up a few stories just to get to a particular shop that sells almost everything that watsons, guardian and all the other pharmacies combined together.
the shop felt like an oven so i decided to just stand outside since i know i won’t be getting anything andthe place was practically crawling with aunties bargaining like crazy for the just a few cents.
we’ve officially promoted vincent to aunty vincent!
vincent still wanted to get his trunks so we walked to china town point and went to some shop on the 3rd level…
he ended up buying a pair of green slippers.
went for dinner at swenson’s and ooohhhh boy! the food there really sucked!
the last time i had swenson’s was during a company outing when i still in microsoft and that was like 2 years ago.
i had beef baked rice, colin had fish and chips and vincent had an omelet with cheese and onions, he was vegetarian for the day.
my beef baked rice really tasted like field ration, i had to add in plenty of salt and even some tartar sauce to give it some taste,
tried a little of colin’s fish and chips and it tasted bad as well,
with such poor quality, i think even hans is better than swenson’s.
it was still early so we sat down at the nearby coffee bean and talked a bit before sharing a cab back.
here are some pictures we took during dinner at swenson’s using 2 different phones.
the food looks nice?
that’s because vincent’s a good food photographer,
