my first viewing

Author: JT   |  Apr 20th, 2008

went for my first viewing as a part time property agent today,

thomas couldn’t make it so i was supposed to go alone, the only thing that made me relived was that the people viewing the houses are my relatives.

intended to take 198 all the way to queensway before walking over to anchorage but the bus took so damn long to turn up and i was running late, ended up alighting near bona vista mrt and took a cab over.

reached there just minutes before my cousin came with his wife and parents.

the first house was smaller at 1550 square feet and on a low floor but had a little glimpse of the swimming pool. i was actually told this unit had a nice pool view but the house was so far from the pool you couldn’t see shit.

the place was actually quite cramp and the masterbed room size was about the size of my own room..pathetic!

and yet they were asking for around sgd $2.2 million.

could see in my aunt’s eyes that she wasn’t really interested in the place.

went for a 2nd viewing in another block, a bigger unit at 1770 square feet and on the highest floor, the place was so nice i fell in love with it myself.

it was newly renovated and the couple staying were migrating to the states so they were letting go below market value…

just a little above sgd $1.8 million.

in terms of value for money, the 2nd unit was much more worth, the only bad thing about the unit was that the living room and the 2 bigger rooms had windows facing the west which means the hot afternoon sun.

my uncle seem very much more interested as he went from room to room with beaming eyes.

i quickly called my mom to see if she was interested too and my aunty was praising the place like crazy so my mom was very curious on how the place was.

was supposed to meet colin in town after the viewing but as it turns out, my aunty and uncle wanted a 2nd look at the place while waiting for my mom.

managed to get the agent right before he left to stay for a while longer while my mom came to look at the place and for my aunty and uncle to go through the place 1 more time.

it was almost 5pm by the time we were done so decided not to meet colin since he was coming back as well so i went to meet thomas who had just finished viewing another few houses for his other client.

met another cousin, melvin, while we were roaming around looking at cars. he was there with his biker friends doing goodness knows what.

took a cab back after that since i was tired and sleepy.

-

tried to sleep a little when i got back but heard the gong on my computer and realised that clan wars on battle stations has started.

my new clan, rawr, managed to sink 4 bases and was still able to survive the onslaught…this shows the power of my new clan which, after today, is the number 1 ranked clan in battle stations with the most war points.

agreed to play a little badminton later with aaron and weisiang but we ran out of shuttlecocks so asked trond to donate some.

he’s on his way over right now as i’m typing this to go for some supper and to discuss about the project that i’m helping him with.

will blog more about the badminton session either later when i get back (i doubt so) or tomorrow when i’m back in trond’s office.

-

oh and by the way, i’ve decided not to get the new laptop now and wait for the new macbooks and macbook pros to be released before making a decision.

the new macs should be released by june/july and that’s when i get my commission anyway if my aunty agrees to buy the apartment.

beef pie dinner

Author: JT   |  Apr 20th, 2008

was lazing around the whole day after waking up at 3pm but somehow went back to sleep again around 5pm.

supposed to have dinner at malcolm’s but somehow i overslept till 6.30pm and rushed over by taxi.

malcolm can really cook good pies and pizzas, it’s a waste he doesn’t want to setup a small eatery or something.

had a nice and long chat with him over work, office politics and life till 9.45pm,

also picked up the badminton rackets that i’ve ordered and paid for about 6 months ago.

each cost more than $300 sgd but i paid only like 1/2 the price.

1 is actually for a friend’s birthday present so i’m thinking if i should send both for restringing or only the one i’ll be using,

probably depends on my wallet’s mood i guess.

was supposed to go down to mustafa center after leaving malcolm’s place but vincent (goh) couldn’t make it at the last moment so i grabbed a cab from jurong east and rushed home for my first major clanwar in my new battle station’s clan.

managed to get home just in time to hear the “gong” for the start of the clanwar, the thing i like about this clan is they are very organised and very into the game, unlike the previous clan i was in that was rather weak and unorganised.

they even found a way to sound a “gong” when the clanwar starts,

however, even with almost 30 people online, we were gang-banged by 5 different clans and our base got sunk in around 10 minutes…but we did manage to take 1 clan down.

was trying to get to sleep right after the clanwar cause there’ll be a 2nd one in around 8 hours but kept tossing and turning again in bed until i gave up.

went back to my computer and started some mass invites for the 100 extra APs, those mass invites really work cause i have all 100 APs in less than an hour.

still awake at 5.30am so decided to just wait for 30 minutes for the clanwar to start, also sms-ed my cousin to wake him up for the clanwar,

as it turns out, i fell asleep on my keyboard and it was already 11.30am when i realised it…

damn, i missed the war!

-

going for a house viewing later with my cousin his parents, hopefully they’ll want to buy the place so i can use the commission to buy my macbook pro come this june/july.

dinner anyone?
