since my date for the night has been screwed, it’s time to switch to plan b…
picked up bai from his place and went down to queenstown mrt to pick nelson up. was damn hungry but nelson insisted on going to some duck rice stall in south bouna vista road. that makes 2 duck dinners in a roll.
had to spend some time looking for the place and when we finally got there, we realised that all of us were out of cash and we needed to draw.
spent another 10 minutes looking for the atm only to realise that i left my money clip in office together with my identity card and atm card.
oh well, got bai to pay for me first.
as for the duck rice, nelson ordered a small plate of duck, a small plate of intestines, a small plate of tofu and 2 eggs…which cost us a total of $32!
i left my camera in the car or else i would have taken photos of the place. it’s just a run down shop house along some small road. the tables and chairs are old and tatted, the place reeks of sewage water and the food tasted normal.
and we paid a whooping $32 for such crap!
for the same amount, i could have bought a whole duck from other duck stores that serves much better duck rice…what a rip off!
i felt like a carrot head…
since we had nothing else to do, we went down to tiong bharu to pick hui ge up from his girlfriend’s place. ended up hanging around the area for 30 minutes just thinking of what to do.
we did this 10 years ago and we’re still doing it now…
we came to an agreement to go prawning so it’s back to jurong. when we got there, the prawning ponds were filled with people. we lost all urge of fishing so spent another 1/2 hour discussing about where to go next.
next stop…mind cafe!
drove all the way down again to town and had a hard time looking for a place to park. we were very lucky thought as we managed to get a seat almost immediately.
been years since i played the game “bang” which was introduced by my cousin and we played it again. had damn a lot of fun, we will be visiting the place soon again…but with more people.
hui ge also introduced us another game but it was kinda boring and i won the game anyway.
spent 2 hours there and went home dead tired…
just pumped a full tank of petrol before dinner and i’m down by 1/5th already.
