while i’m not really interested in the iphone 3g, i’m still interested in what features the new phone will have and how different it will look from the original iphone.

i’m also looking forward to the new releases for the mac book pro, intending to get 1 as soon as they have stock in the shops.

was reading ping.sg’s top 10 when i came across this blog post.

story is about a review xiaxue did on both a fake and real iphone on her personal tv show.

apparently one of the huge geek sites got hold of the video and posted it up on their web,

and guess what…she got badly flamed with hilarious comments like…

no i didn’t lose my iphone, i merely dropped it…

and it was quite bad, deep scratches at the top and a few scratches at the back,

sigh, my first drop ever since i got the phone last year.

bad luck!

eh you think you god ah? this kinda issue also wanna snatch 风头.

was a little clumsy today and spill some water on floor near my computer table,

just so happened that my iphone’s usb cable was on the floor and it got slightly wet,

didn’t think much of it at that point so just picked up the cable and made a mental note not to plug in my iphone until it’s dry.

about 5 minutes later, itunes started automatically (it normally starts automatically when i plug in the iphone) without plugging in anything and the next thing i knew, my computer froze.

there goes my 9 weeks of uptime.

tried hard rebooting but it just refuses to boot, only managed to get it booted after unplugging the usb cable.

i never knew a usb cable could cause the computer to crash or even prevent the system from booting.

let’s hope plugging in the usb cable later won’t create anymore problems.

someone promised to buy me a new set of earplugs for my iphone…

let’s see if it’ll come or not, looking forward to it!

saw the huge envelope on my bed when i got home in the morning…

my new iphone casings have finally arrived.

i ripped open the envelope immediately and there they were, my iphone wraps!

i ordered 2 for myself and 1 for kennedy, we could even have our names or initial embroidered on the insides…

here’s how mine looks like

i’ve left kennedy’s one intact in the plastic bag but his reads “ken”.

tried on both wraps and realised that the iphone could not fit into the black pouch,

it took loads of difficulty to pop in the first quarter and it refuses to enter anymore, will probably write them an email and get them to ship another one.

the other pouch was a bit tight but at least i managed to squeeze the whole phone in.

kinda disappointed thought, i paid like $200 for 3 casings and they weren’t what i expected.

mark (ng) came over to my place to help edit and put in the custom ringtones for my iphone…

i could finally have non default ringtones after the upgrade to 1.1.2.

just love my babyturbo ring tone and my transformers sms tone.

chatted a bit with mark before sending him off…

went down to mark ng’s place on tuesday night to upgrade my iphone and to help him fix his computer,

he apparently did something wrongly and the phone cannot be unlocked in version 1.1.2.

spent the whole night there with him trying to figure out how to crack the phone,

his computer was giving problems as well but people don’t call me jack for nothing…

managed to get the computer fixed and most of his files (namely his porn) salvaged even after the whole partition was removed.

we fell asleep while trying to fix the phone and only woke up in the morning…

finally got the phone upgraded to 1.1.2 and cracked, installed all the stuffs i wanted and more.

played a bit of mahjong with mark’s girlfriend and another friend,

bad luck thought, lost quite a bit but luckily we weren’t playing money.

went over to bukit panjang for a walk with another friend before going home.

another day gone, just like that…

meeting kennedy after work but he finishes his lesson at 5pm whilst i end my work at 3pm which means i gotta wait around for 2 1/2 hours…including his travelling time from nanyang poly to bugis.

took bus 33 down from office to bugis but i fell asleep on the bus and alighted 2 stops later, it was still darn early so i took a slow scroll to the national library.

found a nice cosy corner on the basement level and fired up my laptop…luckily i was prepared.

the library wireless wasn’t slow, it was beyond slow!

and the weirdest thing was, i was able to connect and chat both in msn and irc but unable to surf.

and finally, after almost 2 hours there, kennedy finally arrived at around 5.45pm.

walked to simlim square to get his laptop skin pasted…

it was damn hard trying to find a suitable skin to match the laptop, mainly due to the fact that he’s so fickle minded and can’t seem to decide what he wants.

we finally decided on a design like 45 minutes later.

went over to the kopitiam opposite for dinner, we were both damn hungry so we ordered…

2 bowls of bak kut teh,
1 bowl of pig’s kidney,
1 plate of pig’s trotter,
3 bowls of “you tiao”,
3 bowls of rice &
1 big plate of salted vegetables.

if i said i wasn’t full, i’ll be the biggest liar on earth,

if i said i was full, i’ll still be lying,

i was damn full, to the point of wanting to just lie on the floor and not move for the next few hours.

walked over to prinsep street to meet mark (ng) to fix kennedy’s iphone…

seems like his iphone keeps hanging and mark claims he could redo the software so decided to let him try.

somehow, we managed to find a nice spot just outside sunshine plaza residents where the wireless@sg signal was strong,

i’m still not sure why we could find wireless@sg at such a spot and the nearest mcdonalds was like more than 100 meters away.

laptops ahoy!

we were actually just outside the residences’ lobby, people walking pass were really wondering why 3 idiots were using their laptops at such a place.

mark’s phone was damn extra…

to keep a long story short, mark managed to install and crack version 1.1.2 on kennedy’s phone but all our laptops ran out of battery life before mark could do it for my phone.

and now i have to wait for another week before mark has the time to do it for me…

and coincidentally, all 3 of us were carrying crumpler bags,

i was also surprised that mark patched back with his long time girlfriend after breaking up a few months ago
